LAUNCH OF THE BIOECONOMY PORTAL IN THE HAUTS-DE-FRANCE REGION

In partnership with the Hauts-de-France region, the bioeconomy cluster IAR is launching a website entirely devoted to the bioeconomy, which currently represents one of the mainstays of economic development in the Hauts-de-France region.

PROMOTING THE OPERATORS AND PROJECTS IN THE HAUTS-DE-FRANCE REGION

The new portal notably offers the advantage of listing and promoting all the regional bioeconomy operators via a map. The objective is to provide them with a search and communication tool enabling them to develop their activities and to carry out targeted searches for entities based on various criteria (type of entity, markets, communities-topics, etc.). The portal also highlights and provides detailed information about projects, calls for projects, financial aid, bioeconomy training offers, success stories, regional policy supporting the sector… Not to forget a summary of all the latest news and events in the Hauts-de-France region connected with the bioeconomy. It should be noted that the portal has been designed to provide the user with a high-quality experience: efficient ergonomics, simple design in keeping with the region’s colours, varied and regularly updated information, version in English…

WHAT IS THE OBJECTIVE OF THE BIOECONOMY PORTAL?

The bioeconomy is becoming increasingly significant in regional economic development because, for each euro invested by the region in the sector between 2014 and 2017, 7 euros have been injected into the regional economy. The bioeconomy accounts for more than 85,000 jobs in the region. This is why the regional authority has decided to develop the portal to provide information not only for specialist operators but also the general public. Aiming to attain a position of leadership in Europe in the bioeconomy, in 2018 the Hauts-de-France region adopted its Bioeconomy Master Plan to promote a competitive and sustainable sector creating added value and jobs.
