RMT BIOMASSE

The RMT (mixed technological network) Biomasse & Territoires established by the Ministry of Agriculture to facilitate and support the development of agricultural biomass sectors adapted to the challenges and resources of the regions.

Founded in 2008 and composed of seven founding partners (Hauts-de-France Chamber of Agriculture, Normandy Chamber of Agriculture, AgroTransfert Ressources et Territoires, Coop de France, ARVALIS, Bergerie Nationale and UTT), the network grew rapidly, bringing together 70 operators at the national level and promoting closer interaction between operators in research, training and development. Operational until 2018, the network led to the capitalisation of numerous tools and mechanisms supporting the development of the agricultural biomass sectors, such as technical data sheets on cultivation, a guide to the selection of lignocellulosic crops, agricultural biomass commercialisation process guides, surface maps, development of a guide on selecting sustainable agricultural biomass supplies at non-food commercialisation sites (OPTABIOM) and many others.
